Spool File Redirector
We
have developed a utility that allows the easy control of user output.
It allows certain forms to go to certain printers.
This is a way of controlling forms without hard coding. A control
file holds the required information and drives a program that reads
selected output queues & redirects the spooled files.
There
are several permutations:
either, redirect all of one spooled file type
or, all of a users output
or, just one particular Spool file for a user.
It is also possible to create extra copies and distribute them to other users.
This is a highly versatile tool that saves much time in maintaining spooled files.

Spooled File Download
This
utility allows users to download selected spooled files to a PC.
It asks for the user profile and output queue and brings up a list
of spooled files for selection.
Once selected a file is downloaded to a folder in QDLS as a text file
and returns the file name to the user.
This allows the user to import the document either into MS Word or Excel to allow further manipulation.

(BPCS)
Submit Job Utility
Overview
This utility has been designed for all versions of BPCS to allow jobs
to be submitted using normal job schedulers (standard iSeries or 3rd
party) and controls the very complex submission of parameters and
hexadecimal strings in BPCS routines. It handles all requirements
for preset data areas normally associated with the standard menu submission
along with user maintained variables to control each job.
Features:
- The
inclusion of a variable date embedded within the parameters giving
the ability to run jobs using either today’s or yesterday’s date
information. This provides for unattended and scheduled processing
without the continuing need to change date entries

A selected number of the more commonly used BPCS jobs are provided with the standard package to act as examples and so aid the initial set-up process.
